Canadian drivers wanted · Private beta

Help us build a better way to compare car costs.

We're inviting a small group of Canadians to try Car Decision Engine — a free early-stage tool that explores the estimated costs of owning different vehicles.

Access credentials are required · Approximately 10–15 minutes to explore + a 3-minute survey

More than a sticker price.

Compare up to four vehicle-and-offer scenarios and explore how financing, depreciation, energy, insurance, maintenance and other ownership costs can add up over time.

01 · COMPARE

Choose available vehicles

Pick one or more cars from our current beta catalogue. You can compare the same car with different prices or financing offers.

02 · PERSONALIZE

Enter realistic assumptions

Use your approximate annual kilometres, actual asking prices, location and, where applicable, real finance or lease terms.

03 · EXPLORE

Review the estimates

Check the total cost comparison, identify confusing sections and tell us what would make the tool more useful.

The vehicle catalogue is limited. That's okay.

The beta currently includes 31 selected vehicle configurations, all from model year 2025, rather than the wider range of model years and trims available in Canada. Your exact car may not be listed.

Please don't treat a similar vehicle as an exact substitute for your own. If your preferred model, year or trim is missing, choose a vehicle that is available only to explore the experience. Tell us which vehicle you wanted to compare. We are testing usability and usefulness — not asking you to make a purchase decision from this limited catalogue.

What we'd love you to try

  • Find a vehicle and enter a price.
  • Try one or two comparison scenarios.
  • Explore the cost results on desktop or mobile.
  • Tell us what's confusing, missing or surprising.

Who should participate?

  • People shopping for a car now or soon.
  • People researching future ownership costs.
  • Curious drivers willing to test the experience.

You don't need to be an automotive expert.

Three easy steps

01

Get access

This is an invitation-only beta. Ask the person or community contact who shared this page for tester credentials.

02

Explore the calculator

Try a supported vehicle and take note of any missing models or unclear estimates.

03

Share feedback

Complete our short anonymous survey. We value constructive criticism as much as positive comments.

Before relying on any number

This is an early Canadian beta with some provisional assumptions. Costs, depreciation and repair estimates are planning illustrations, not verified quotes, guaranteed predictions or purchase recommendations. Independently verify important figures.
